On July 9th, we’re kicking off a month-long Front End Web Dev party here at Treehouse. Join the party with other future FEWD experts to learn new skills, make new friends, and build new projects for your portfolio. If you’re lucky - you might score one of our prizes! Sign up to be put on our waiting list. We'll remind you a week before we begin!
When you visit a web site to watch a video, buy something, or update your friends, you're interacting with that site's "front end." The Front End is the stuff you see and interact with in your web browser. Front End Web Development is the process of building the look, and programming the experience of a web site using languages like HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
The people who create this experience are called Front End Web Developers, and they're part technicians, part artists. They create the web pages and program the user interfaces that make the web fun and useful.
